A useful part of your workflow.

Support diagnostics

Safer trace sharing

Remove common secret-bearing fields and review the result before sending it.

A few useful answers.

The details that matter before you use HAR Network Viewer.

What can a HAR contain?

A HAR may include authorization tokens, cookies, URLs, query values, request and response bodies and personal data.

What does sanitization remove?

All request and response header values, cookies, query values, URL paths and captured bodies are removed. A summary reports counts.

Is the sanitized file guaranteed safe to share?

No. Hosts and other retained metadata may still be sensitive. Review the output before sharing.

Does CSV contain original URLs?

Yes. CSV is an inspection export, not a sanitized export. Keep it private.

Does the file leave my device?

No. Parsing and exports run in the browser. URLs, headers, bodies and credentials are excluded from analytics.

What are the limits?

One UTF-8 HAR JSON file up to 15 MB with at most 10,000 requests and 1,000 items in each header, cookie or query list. Files above these limits fail clearly; values are not silently omitted. Body text is not previewed in this version.
