A few useful answers.

The details that matter before you use E-Invoice Viewer.

Which e-invoices can I open?

This version reads UBL 2.1 Invoice XML, XRechnung 3.0 UBL/CII identifiers and supported Factur-X/ZUGFeRD EN16931 CII XML in a hybrid PDF. Other profiles, credit notes and unsupported versions are withheld.

Can I open Factur-X or ZUGFeRD PDFs?

Yes, when the PDF contains exactly one recognized, bounded CII invoice XML attachment. Visible PDF content is not parsed as invoice data, and PDF/A-3 conformance is not checked.

Does the viewer validate an invoice?

It checks XML safety, supported structure, profile identifier and required business fields. It does not run XSD or Schematron, verify signatures, compare PDF and XML content, validate tax treatment or make legal conclusions.

Are missing amounts calculated?

No. Source decimal strings are retained exactly. Missing and invalid fields remain distinct in JSON; missing table values are blank. No line tax, gross amount or exchange rate is invented.

What is included in each download?

Excel includes invoice lines, document totals, taxes, allowances and charges, and payment details. CSV includes line items only. JSON includes normalized parties, addresses and field states. XLSX cells are text; CSV formula prefixes are neutralized.

Is the invoice uploaded?

No. XML parsing and export run in your browser. Files, names, invoice text, amounts and payment information do not enter analytics or the control database.

What are the limits?

Use UTF-8 XML up to 2 MB or hybrid PDF up to 10 MB with one supported XML attachment. XML has at most 2,000 invoice lines, 30,000 elements and 64 levels of nesting. DTD declarations, entity definitions and external inclusions are rejected.
