The details that matter before you use PDF to CSV.

Does this work with scans?

Scanned pages and qualifying image-table regions use local OCR when native PDF text does not provide a usable table. Clear upright text works best. Mixed or complex layouts may still be missed; review every extracted table.

Are unrelated tables combined?

No. Pages and clearly separated vertical regions remain separate CSV files. Side-by-side or complex tables may be interpreted incorrectly; inspect the preview.

Will leading zeroes be kept?

The CSV preserves literal text, commas, quotes and newlines. Spreadsheet programs may infer numbers, dates or formulas when opening CSV; use their text import settings to preserve identifiers and review untrusted values.

What is not supported?

V1 does not reliably preserve merged cells, nested tables, handwriting, complex multi-column reports, formulas or original formatting. Password-protected files must be unlocked first.

How large can the PDF be?

Up to 25 MB and 300 pages. Pages are processed one at a time; scanned-page OCR can take longer. No file content or filenames are sent to analytics.
