Can I compress an image to exactly 100 KB?
The tool targets 100 KB or less, rather than adding unnecessary bytes to hit an exact number. We use decimal units: 100 KB is 100,000 bytes.
Does the image leave my device?
No. Decoding and compression run locally in your browser. Your image is not sent to application servers.
Will compression reduce quality?
Lossy encoding removes some detail. For very small targets, image dimensions are also reduced. Keep your original if you may need it later.
Can I compress PNG files?
Yes. Export a PNG as JPEG or WebP. JPEG replaces transparent areas with white; WebP preserves transparency.
Does it work on iPhone?
It is designed for modern mobile browsers, including Safari. Large images may exceed device memory; try a smaller source if that happens.
